ASTON, Pa. – With the 4-2 win over Wilson College, the Neumann University softball team has advanced to the ECAC South Region Tournament this Saturday and Sunday.

The No. 4 seeded Knights defeated the No. 5 seeded Phoenix 4-2 in the first round. Rachel Purpuro went 7.0 innings, allowing just two runs on seven hits and struck out eight.

Neumann will now face No. 1 seeded Catholic University on Saturday. Game time is slated for 10:00 AM.

In the other game, No. 2 PSU-Altoona will face No. 3 Marywood. The double-elimination tournament will take place on the campus of Marywood University in Scranton, Pa.
