INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Neumann University baseball team has received an at-large bid to the 2012 NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament, announced by the NCAA Division III Baseball Committee on Monday morning. This is the first NCAA Appearance for the Neumann baseball team.
Six teams will compete at four regional sites and eight teams will compete at four regional sites. All regionals will use a double-elimination format. Thirty-eight conference champions qualified automatically.
Fifty-six teams will compete in the 2012 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship. Winners of the eight regional tournaments will qualify for the double-elimination championship at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton, Wis., May 25-29.
Neumann was ranked sixth in the latest Mid-Atlantic Region poll, will play in the Mid-Atlantic regional at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood, N.J. The Knights are the No. 5 seed that will face No. 4 seeded Ramapo College in the first game on Wednesday at 10:00 AM.
Conference foe Keystone College is the No. 1 seed and will face No. 8 Daniel Webster. No. 2 Kean will face No. 7 Drew and No. 3 Alvernia will face No. 6 Haverford in the other first round games.
Tickets for the Tournament will be $8 per day for adults and $4 for students, senior citizens and children under 12.
The winner of the Neumann/Ramapo game will face the winner of the Keystone/Daniel Webster game on Thursday at 4:30 PM.

From Northern Jersey - Garden State Parkway South to Exit 89. At the end of the exit, bear right towards Brick & Lakewood. Make a left onto Cedar Bridge Ave (Rt. 528 W). Proceed 1.4 miles through three traffic lights to FirstEnergy Park entrance.
From Southern Jersey - Garden State Parkway North to exit 90, which puts you on Chambers Bridge Road. Follow Chambers Bridge Road for 1.3 miles and turn right onto Route 70 West. Proceed to the first light, turn right onto Cedar Bridge Ave.. (Route 528). Continue 2.4 miles to FirstEnergy Park on left.
From West - Take Route 70 East to jughandle before New Hampshire Ave. (Rt. 623) intersection. Turn left onto New Hampshire Ave. and cross over Route 70. Continue through 2 traffic lights to FirstEnergy Park on left.
From East - Take Route 70 West to Cedar Bridge Ave. (Route 528). Turn right and proceed 2.4 miles to FirstEnergy Park on left.
From Interstate 195 - Take Exit 28A to Route 9 South. Follow Route 9 South for 5.9 miles to Pine St. Turn left onto Pine ST. and follow for 1.6 , miles to New Hampshire Ave, Turn left onto New Hampshire Ave. and follow to FirstEnergy Park on left.
