CAMDEN, N.J. – The Neumann University women's tennis team fell in its 2012 season opener 8-1 at Rutgers University – Camden on Friday afternoon in non-conference action.

Teresa Kozin notched the Knights only point at fourth singles, taking the match 7-5, 6-2. Sarah Schroeder didn't go lightly at second singles and fell 6-3, 6-3. Gabrielle Porcelli put up a fight at third singles, 6-3, 6-4.

Porcelli and Kozin battled at second doubles but fell 8-5. Breanne Klar and Schroeder fell at first singles, 8-4.

Neumann (0-1) will begin conference action next Friday as the host Marywood in its home opener.
