ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team defeated Cedar Crest College 8-1 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Wednesday afternoon.

The Knights opened the match by taking all three doubles. The duo of Breanne Klar and Sarah Schroeder handled their match, 8-0 at first doubles. Gabrielle Porcelli and Teresa Kozin won second doubles 8-3 as did Cherie Allen and Heather Nicholson at third doubles.

In singles action, Schroeder notched the match by winning her second singles match, 6-1, 6-0. Porcelli won third singles 6-3, 6-0. Kozin battled back after falling 6-0 in her first set and won fourth singles, 6-0, 6-0. Allen took fifth singles, 6-1, 7-6 (7-1) and Nicholson won sixth singles in a superset 8-0.

Neumann (1-2, 1-0 CSAC) takes to the road this weekend for two CSAC contests. The Knights will be at Cabrini on Friday at 3:30 and Baptist Bible on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
