ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team shutout Fredonia State 5-0 on Friday evening in non-conference action.

Chris Bournazos had a goal and an assist for the Knights. Scott Farrell and Dan McDougall each handed out two assists. Ben Curley 33 saves in net for the win. Eleven different Knights notched a point en route to the win.

Steve Gervais opened the scoring 8:55 into the first period off assists from Steve Low and Brandon Gagne. Aaron Keaney, from Bournazos, put the Knights up 2-0 two minutes later and Neumann held the 2-0 lead after one period.

Jordan Zalba found the back of the net on the power play for the only goal of the second period. Dave Gervais and Farrell tallied the assists. Bournazos (Farrell and McDougall) and Mike Cauley (Sean Crozier and McDougall) scored in the third period as the Knights cruised to the 5-0 win.

Neumann improves to 8-4-2 overall this season. The two teams will meet again tomorrow afternoon with a 3:00 PM faceoff.
