ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team fell to Cabrini College 82-61 on Wednesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Mark Blount and Dom Gibson paced the Knights with 13 points apiece. Blount also had six blocks. Rich Whitten added 11 points.
The first half was a battle that featured 12 lead changes and nine ties. Neither team held a lead of more than three. Cabrini held the slight edge, 33-31, at halftime.
The second half was a different story, as the Cavaliers came out and scored 11 of the first 13 points of the half for a 44-33 lead. Despite the Knights efforts, including some back-to-back three pointers, the Cavaliers would not let up and kept pressing to come away with the conference win.
Neumann is now 8-11 overall and 7-5 in conference action. The Knights host Keystone on Saturday for a CSAC contest beginning at 3:00 PM.
