OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Neumann University men's basketball team picked up its first win of the 2013-14 season with a 78-69 win against Manhattanville College on Friday evening at the Oswego State Tip-off.

The win is also the first win for first year head coach Jim Rullo at Neumann University.

Senior Mark Blount picked up a double-double to lead the Knights with 21 points and 16 rebounds. Three other Knights netted double-digits. Kevin Green notched 18 points. Deshawn Loman had 11 while Reggie Coleman added 10.

The teams played a back and forth first half, with each teams taking runs. Neumann ended the half on a 7-2 run to take a 46-38 lead into halftime.

Neumann kept the pressure on during the second half and did not give up the lead. Manhattanville could only get to within eight during the half and Neumann held a lead as large as 19.

Neumann will face either Oswego or Lancaster Bible tomorrow at 6:00 PM in the Championship game.
