IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Immaculata 66-40 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference First Round on Saturday afternoon.

Mark Blount exploded for 24 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks. TaVaune Griffin had 14 rebounds and 11 points and Dom Gibson connected on three from beyond the arc en route to 11 points.

The game started as a low scorer as the teams were tied at four 4:28 into the game. The Knights went on to score seven straight. Neumann kept Immaculata at arm's length for the rest of the half and held a 25-16 lead at the half.

Neumann was leading by six, 28-22, early in the second half when it went on a 16-0 to double the its lead, 44-22.The Knights kept the pressure up throughout the rest of the half to come away with the 64-40 win and advance to the CSAC semifinals.

Neumann (13-13) will travel to Cabrini, the No. 1 seed in the postseason, on Tuesday evening for a 7:00 PM tip-off.
