HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Neumann University softball team picked up two key Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) wins on Sunday afternoon at Centenary College. Game scores were 6-5 and 3-1.

In the first game, Allie White, Becca Reinhart and Callie Emel each had two hits. Emel finished with three RBI and a solo homerun.

With Centenary leading 3-2 in the fifth inning, Emel hit a two-run double to put Neumann up 4-3. Crystal Perlman scored on a double by White in the sixth inning and then Emel added the eventual game-winning run on her solo homerun in the seventh.

The Cyclones scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but could not get the tying run to cross home plate.

Allyson Parris pitched the complete game for the win. She stuck out four in the 7.0 innings.

In the second game, the Knights jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first on a two-run double by Jacki Herrington. Perlman had two hits in the game and scored a run in the fourth inning off a single by Reinhart.

Lauren Wilkie went 7.0 innings and allowed just one unearned run while striking out four.

Neumann is now 10-8 overall and 8-0 to start in conference action. The Knights will get back on the field after Easter when they travel to Notre Dame on April 2 for CSAC action.
