Baseball Takes Two from Salem State

FT. MYERS, Fla. – The Neumann University baseball team swept Salem State University on Saturday morning in a doubleheader to wrap-up its spring break trip in Ft. Myers, Fla. by scores of 15-8 and 6-5.

 

In the first game, the Knights scored 15 runs on 16 hits. Matt Sheneman went 3-for-4 with three RBI. Bill Pace also had three RBI. Bobby McCormick, Tyler Drinkard, Will Flores and Trevor Wilkins all had two hits. Jake Yarber went. 0.2 innings in relief to pick up the win.

 

In the second game, Mike Dicken pitched a complete game for the win. He struck out three and allowed just one earned run. Sheneman remained hot and went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Buddy Elgin and Flores each had a double.

 

Neumann (9-2) opens its home schedule on Tuesday when it hosts Misericordia. First pitch is slated at 3:30 PM on the new baseball field.
