Baseball Plates 16 in Shutout Win

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Neumann University baseball team held Washington College (Md.) to just three hits en route to a 16-0 win on Thursday afternoon.

 

Matt Sheneman scored four runs, knocked in three and had two hits in the game. Buddy Elgin had three hits and scored three runs. Ryan Ficca had three hits and Dave Kalash had three RBI.

 

Mike Dicken started the game and went 6.0 innings. He allowed just three hits and struck out four. Jake Yarber, Richard Llargas and Erik Klimoff each pitched one inning en route to the combined shut out.

 

Elgin put the Knights on the board with a solo shot in fourth inning. Sheneman tacked on a three-run homerun as part of a seven run eighth inning. Kalash also had a two-run single in the seventh.

 

Neumann (16-8) hosts Cairn tomorrow in a single conference game before heading to the Highlanders on Saturday for a doubleheader.
