ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Neumann University took two games at Rosemont College on Sunday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action. Game scores were 10-0 in five innings and 11-3.
In game one, Lauren Wilkie and Kristin Beaty held the Ravens to just one hit. Wilkie went 4.0 innings and Beaty pitched one in the shutout.
The Knights scored eight of their 10 runs in the third inning. Neumann had four straight hits and eight consecutive batters reach base in the inning. Megan Williams hit a RBI triple and Allie White hit a two-run homerun.
Williams then hit another RBI triple in the fourth and then scored for a 10-0 Neumann lead.
In the second game, Wilkie picked up her second win of the afternoon, going 4.0 innings in relief and striking out seven. Allyson Parris started the game and went 3.0 innings. She allowed three runs, two earned, on four hits.
Becca Reinhart hit a two-run single in the second innings for an early 3-0 lead. White hit her second homerun of the afternoon, another two-run shot, and finished the game with three hits and four RBI.
Neumann (18-8, 16-0) starts a busy week on Tuesday at Alvernia in non-conference action. The Knights then return home on Wednesday for a CSAC doubleheader with Cabrini and non-conference action on Thursday with Misericordia.
