ASTON, Pa, - The Neumann University baseball team fell late to Rowan University 7-6 on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action.

Will Flores went 4-for-5 to lead the Knights. Kevin Joo started the game and went 5.0+ innings in the no decision. He allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits. Erik Klimoff went 2.0+ innings and allowed four runs, two earned, on four hits. Russ Gilliam took the loss, allowing one unearned run in one inning. Jake Yarber pitched a scoreless ninth inning.

Neumann got on the board in the first inning, as Buddy Elgin hit an RBI triple to knock in Flores. Tyler Drinkard knocked in the Knights second run in the third inning, as Flores crossed home plate again.

Rowan tied the game at two, with a single run in the fourth and fifth. Neumann took back the lead in the home half of the fifth as Elgin knocked in Ryan Ficca.

Neumann took advantage of a passed ball on a strikeout in the sixth innings and added three runs on the board.

The Profs had a two-run double in the seventh inning for a 6-4 Knights lead. In the eighth inning, Rowan jumped on one of Neumann's errors and plated three runs, two unearned, for a 7-6 lead.

Bill Pace hit a triple in the bottom of the ninth inning, but was stranded on the bases and the Profs held on for the one run, come from behind win.

Neumann (19-9) will host Susquehanna on Thursday in non-conference action beginning at 4 PM.
