LA PLUME, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team dropped an 8-5 decision to Keystone College on Friday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Friday afternoon.

Tyler Drinkard led the Knights offense, going 4-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Matt Spillman started the game and went 6.0 innings in the loss. He allowed six runs, five earned, and struck out five. Ted Fletcher and Kevin Joo each pitched an inning.

The Knights started off well as Drinkard had a two-run single in the top of the first inning. The Giants tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the third and then took and kept the lead by plating at least a run in each remaining inning.

Matt Sheneman hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to score Bill Pace for a 5-3 Keystone lead. The Knights would add an unearned run in the seventh and eighth inning, but could not take the lead back and fell 8-5.

Neumann (14-5, 4-1 CSAC) will host Keystone tomorrow for a doubleheader beginning at 12 PM.
