Giants Take Two from Knights

ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team dropped a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) doubleheader to Keystone College on Saturday afternoon. Game scores were 4-1 and 5-1.

 

Keystone scored a run in the first and three in the second inning in the first game. Neumann was held to one hit until the bottom of the seventh inning. Tyler Drinkard led off the inning with a single, followed by a single by Buddy Elgin. Matt Sheneman worked a walk to load the bases. Joey Armata knocked in Drinkard and kept the bases loaded as the Knights continued to threaten. The Knights then hit into a double play and struck out and the Giants came away with the 4-1 win.

 

Mike Dicken went 7.0 innings, allowing four runs, one earned, and struck out five.

 

In the second game, Neumann scored its lone run in the third inning as Bobby McCormick knocked in Will Flores. Keystone scored two runs in the third, one in the fourth and two more in the fifth for the 5-1 win.

 

Kristian Deluzio started the game and went 5.2 innings and struck out five. Jake Yarber finished the game, going 1.1 innings.

 

Neumann (14-7, 4-3 CSAC) will host Misericordia on Monday afternoon in a non-conference game beginning at 4 PM.
