LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Cairn University 77-55 on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

Mark Blount led the Knights with 22 points. Kevin Green added 18 points and went 3-for-3 from beyond the arc. Reggie Coleman notched 15 points and was a perfect 7-for-7 from the line. Rich Whitten scored 11. The team shot 53.6% from the floor.

The first half was a half of runs. It took the Knights just over seven minutes to build a double-digit lead, 15-5. The Highlanders then made a run and tied the game at 18 with 7:43 left on the clock. Neumann made the last run of the half to take a 41-25 lead into halftime.

Neumann took the lead it had built in the first half and did not relinquish it in the second half. The Knights held the biggest lead of the game, 76-50, with just over three minutes left in regulation. Fourteen Knights saw time on the court en route to the 77-55 win.

Neumann (9-4, 4-2 CSAC) will return to its home court on Wednesday for the first time in over a month when it hosts Marywood. The CSAC action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
