SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team defeated Marywood University 67-70 on Thursday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

DeShawn Lowman led five Knights in double-figures with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Mel Weldon netted 14 points. Kevin Green notched 13 points, Mark Blount had 12 points and five blocks while Reggie Coleman added 10 points.

Marywood held the lead for the first half, with its biggest lead coming midway, 18-9. The Pacers held a two-point lead at the half.

The Knights went down 38-31 before chipping their way into the lead. With the score tied at 41, Neumann went on a 15-0 run to take a 56-41 lead with eight minutes remaining in regulation. Marywood used a late run to get to within four, 60-64, with 30 seconds left on the clock. A free throw by Rich Whitten and two by Lowman spoiled the Pacers comeback attempt and gave the Knights the 67-60 win.

Neumann (14-6, 9-4 CSAC) will host Keystone on Saturday afternoon as part of a doubleheader with the women. The men tip-off at 3:00 PM.
