Box Score ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team fell late to Arcadia University 7-5 on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.
Drew Snow had three hits and three RBI to lead the Knights. Patrick Graham started the game and went 4.2 innings. He allowed four runs on seven hits and struck out six. Zach Youngberg took the loss, going 3.2 innings. He allowed two runs on one hit. Lorenzo Williams and Adrian LaRowe each went a third of an inning.
Neumann put two runs on the board in the second and three in the fifth for its five runs. Snow hit a two-run single in the third.
Arcadia plated four runs in the fifth inning to get to within one, 5-4. Neumann held continued to hold the 5-4 lead heading into the ninth inning.
Arcadia batted around in the top of the ninth with four hits and two walks to score three runs and take a 7-5 lead.
Matt Sheneman led off the bottom of the ninth with a single, but he would be stranded at first and Neumann fell 7-5.
Neumann (14-19) will host Haverford on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action beginning at 4:00 PM.
