ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University softball team swept Centenary College on Sunday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action. Game scores were 8-0 and 6-0.
In game one, the Knights scored two runs in the bottom of the first innings to jump out to a lead. Becca Reinhart led off the sixth inning with a triple and came around to score of a groundout by Danielle Grayson. After back-to-back singles, Lauren Wilkie hit a two-run double. Jessica Harrell came into pinch run for Wilke and scored the eighth run to end the game on a wild pitch.
Wilke went 6.0 innings allowed two hits and struck out seven for the win.
In game two, Kristin Beaty pitched the shutout, going 7.0 innings and allowing three hits. Reinhart hit another triple, this time with the bases loaded, en route to the 6-0 win.
Neumann (11-5, 7-1 CSAC) travels to Keystone to continue CSAC action on Tuesday afternoon beginning at 3:00 PM.
