SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team defeated Marywood University 12-4 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Friday afternoon.

Kristian DeLuzio pitched a complete game for his fourth win of the season. He allowed four runs on eight hits and struck out 12.

Buddy Elgin had two hits and five RBI to lead the Knights. Eric Bergman had three hits and three RBI.

Neumann capitalized on some Marywood errors in the second inning and plated seven runs. Bergman had a two-run single and Elgin hit a three-run homerun in the inning.

The Pacers put three runs on the board in the second and third innings for a 7-3 game. The Knights added a run here and there. Elgin hit a two-run single in the ninth inning to cap the scoring.

Neumann (15-19, 8-8 CSAC) and Marywood will face each other in a doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 1:00 PM.
