LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team defeated Cairn University 8-1 on Friday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.

In doubles action, the Knights took all three points. Teresa Kozin and Cherie Allen won their match at second doubles 8-1. Sarah Schroeder and Bre Klar won 8-2 at first doubles. The duo of Talene Brinker and Justice Mallard completed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 in the third slot.

Klar won her match at first singles 6-4, 6-4. In the second flight, Schroeder won her match 6-3, 6-1. Kozin took third singles 6-2, 6-3. Allen had an easy time at fourth singles 6-1, 6-0. Brinker did not give up a point, winning 6-0, 6-0 at fifth singles. Mallard battled at sixth singles, but fell in three sets, 6-1, 1-6, 7-6.

Neumann (2-2, 1-1 CSAC) heads to Rosemont tomorrow for more CSAC action beginning at 2:00 PM.
