ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team defeated Rosemont College 8-1 in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match on Saturday afternoon.
Neumann opened the afternoon by sweeping doubles action. The duos of Bre Klar and Sarah Schroeder (first) and Talene Brinker and Lilly Escobar (third) each took their match 8-2. Teresa Kozin and Cherie Allen battled at second doubles and came away with a 9-7 win.
Klar then won the first singles match, 6-0, 6-2. Schroeder took the third singles match 6-0, 6-2. At fourth singles, Allen won 6-1, 6-2. Kozin took her match at fourth singles, 6-2, 6-0 and Escobar wrapped up the match with a 6-0, 6-1 at sixth singles.
Neumann (3-2, 2-1 CSAC) travels to Albright on Wednesday for non-conference action beginning at 3:30 PM.
