MEDIA, Pa. – The Neumann University women's tennis team defeated Delaware Valley College 8-1 on Monday afternoon.

Just as the match was about to get underway, the skies opened up. The match was moved to Springton Racquet and Tennis Club.

The Knights opened the match by taking all three doubles matches. The duo of Bre Klar and Sarah Schroeder won first doubles 8-1. At third doubles, Talene Brinker and Justice Mallard were victorious by an 8-2 score. Teresa Kozin and Cherie Allen rounded out doubles action with an 8-4 win in the second slot.

In singles action, Klar won her first single flight 8-0 as everyone played pro-sets. Brinker took second singles 8-2. Schroeder picked up an 8-1 win at third singles. Kozin won 8-0 at fifth doubles. Lilly Escobar received a forfeit at sixth singles.

Neumann (4-3) gets back into conference play tomorrow when it travels to Baptist Bible. Action gets underway at 3:00 PM.
