SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball fell to Marywood University 77-69 in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action on Saturday afternoon.

James Butler led the Knights with 20 points. Denzel Yard added 10 points. Andrew Moye had 10 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double.

The first half of the first 20 minutes went back and forth between the Knights and Pacers. With Neumann up by one, 17-16, Marywood went on an 8-0 run to take a 24-17 advantage. The Pacers would hold and eight point advantage, 38-30, at the break.

With the Pacers holding a 53-41 advantage, the Knights went on an 11-0 run to get back to within one, 53-52, with 8:12 left in regulation. However, Marywood responded with an 11-1 run to take back its double-digit lead, 64-53, with 5:39 on the clock. Then teams would stay neck-and-neck for the rest of regulation and the Knights could not attempt another comeback.

Neumann (6-6, 3-2 CSAC) heads to Baptist Bible on Monday for more conference action beginning at 8:00 PM.
