SCRANTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team fell 2-1 at Marywood University on Saturday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
The Pacers scored two goals in the first half to take the 2-0 lead.
Jessica Harrell found the back of the cage in the 43
rd minute to put the Knights on the board.
Colleen Hoy picked up her first collegiate point with the assist.
Becky Guinto tallied a defensive save in the 66
th minute to keep the deficit to one. The Knights then pulled keeper
Becca Wallace, but could not net the equalizer. Wallace finished with seven saves.
Both teams had 14 shots with
Alexa McIntyre leading the Knights with three. Eleven of the Knights' 14 shots came in the second half.
Neumann (6-7, 1-3 CSAC) will host Arcadia on Wednesday under the lights beginning at 7:00 PM.
