ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team dropped a 5-1 non-conference game to Arcadia University on Wednesday evening.
Arcadia got on the board first when it was awarded a penalty stroke in the 18
th minute. Two minutes later, Arcadia added to its lead when it converted on a penalty corner.
Kay Roy put Neumann on the board in the 26
th minute. The Knights had a penalty corner and off of a scrum in front of the net, the sophomore was able to put the ball in the cage.
Brittany Naimoli tallied the assist.
Arcadia would add three more goals in the second half, including another penalty stroke goal, to take the 5-1 game.
The Neumann goalies were busy in net as
Becca Wallace made 12 saves and
Kylee Rutty made five.
Ashley Parker and
Alexa McIntyre each had a defensive save.
Neumann (6-8) will host Ramapo to kick off Homecoming games on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM.
