ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team picked up a 6-2 win against Ramapo College on senior day on Saturday morning.
Seniors
Alexa McIntyre and
Megan Shumate each scored two goals in the game.
Becky Guinto added a goal and two assists.
Aalyssa Moyer scored her first collegiate goal.
Becca Wallace made the start and made seven saves in net.
Kylee Rutty played the second half and made one save.
Shumate opened the scoring just 1:59 into the game as she scored off a give and go with
Jessica Harrell. The senior scored her second goal in the 10
th minute off an assist from Guinto. The Knight held the 2-0 lead at halftime.
Guinto opened the scoring in the second half in the 41
st minute. McIntyre followed with her two goals for a 5-0 lead. Moyer would net her first collegiate goal in the 65
th minute as she tipped in a shot from Guinto.
Neumann (6-7) will hit the road and head to Immaculata on Wednesday for conference action beginning at 4:00 PM.
