ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team wrapped up Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action with a 3-0 win against Centenary College on Thursday evening. Set scores were 25-13, 25-8, 25-8.
Before the match, the Knights honored their seniors:
Kristine Quinn,
Julia Malseed,
Sarah Sanderson,
Karlie Greenhalgh and
Anna Waltz.
Malseed and Waltz each had 10 kills in the match. As a whole, the team hit .425. Sanderson hit .417 with seven kills.
Kat Wolf handed out 35 assists.
The Knights had 21 service aces, led by Waltz with seven.
Nikki Collevechio added five.
In sets two and three, Neumann took control early. With Collevechio serving in set two, she notched three service aces as the Knights jumped out to a 9-1 lead. Waltz had five of her service aces during one rotation in the third set as Neumann took a 12-1 lead.
Neumann (15-17, 9-2 CSAC) wrapped up the No. 2 seed in the CSAC postseason with the win. The Knights will conclude the regular season on Saturday at DeSales University for a Dig Pink tri-match with Stockton University. Match times are 10:00 and 12:00 PM.
