OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision for the second straight day to Stevenson University on Saturday afternoon.
The Mustangs scored a goal in each period. The Knights led in the shot category, 29-25.
Julia Fair made 22 saves in net.
Stevenson scored its first goal at the 8:16 mark of the first period. The Mustangs netted a power play goal late in the second period for a 2-0 lead after two.
Bek Lucas scored her second goal of the season 3:34 into the third period to cut the lead to 2-1. Just over a minute later, the Mustangs tallied a shorthanded goal for insurance.
Neumann (0-2) heads to Plattsburgh State next weekend to open conference play on Saturday and Sunday.
