PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Neumann University women's hockey team fell to No. 1 Plattsburgh State 8-0 on Saturday afternoon to open Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) West action.

The Cardinals scored two goals in the first, four in the second and two in the third en route to the 8-0 win.

Justina Mayr made 39 saves in net over the first two periods. Julia Fair made 16 saves in the third period as Plattsburgh had 63 shots in the game.

Neumann (0-3, 0-1 ECAC West) and Plattsburgh will meet again tomorrow for more conference action beginning at 2:00 PM.
