Poor weather pushed the Men's Rugby game against Widener from an afternoon game to a night game on Saturday (10/3). Neumann versus Widener is always a game that the Knights look forward to playing. In the rain, cold, and strong gusts of wind, the Men's Rugby team battled it out under the lights on the turf field. Short passes and maintaining possession was the key to victory for this match.

The Knights started off on their heels but after fifteen minutes of being pushed, they pushed back! Two unaswered tries to close out the first half and another to open the second, gave Neumann a big advantage, 17-0. Widener responded with two of their own tries without successful conversions over the next twenty minutes to cut the lead to seven,17-10. In the last few minutes of play, the Knights punched a try and conversion to complete the game 24-10, Neumann coming out as the victor! Every rugger played one hundred and ten percent and it showed in the final score.

This is the Men's Rugby team bye week with the next action scheduled under the lights at 7pm during Homecoming weekend (10/17)!
