ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win against Summit University on Thursday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action. Set scores were 25-10, 25-15 and 25-11.
Julia Malseed and
Rachael Hoffman led the Knights with 11 kills each.
Anna Waltz added nine kills.
Kat Wolf handed out 33 assists.
Nikki Collevechio notched four service aces.
The Knights opened the match back taking the first five points and an early 12-2 lead. A kill by Hoffman sealed the first set.
The second set started the like first and Neumann took a commanding lead. Waltz served the final four points to take the 2-0 lead.
The Defenders made some noise at the beginning of the third set and took a 5-3 lead. With Malseed serving, the Knights came back and took an 11-5 lead. A kill by Waltz secured the win.
Neumann (9-11, 4-2) will host the Knights Fall Classic on Friday and Saturday. The Knights open with the University of Scranton at 5:00 PM tomorrow.
