ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's hockey team blanked Morrisville State College 3-0 in non-conference action on Friday evening.

Shayne Morrissey and Mike Davis each had a goal and an assist. Joe Mitchell scored his first collegiate goal. Matt Gibney made 33 saves in net en route to the shut out.

Mitchell scored the first goal, the eventual game-winner, 4:11 into the game. Brandon Gagne tallied the assist.

After a quiet second period, the Knights scored two goals in the third period. Davis scored 1:31 into the period off a pass from Morrissey. Morrissey added an insurance goal at the 5:26 mark from Davis and Steve Low.

The Knights out shot the Mustangs 50-33 in the game. Morrissey led with eight shots and Low had six.

Neumann (5-3) and Morrisville (1-8) will meet again tomorrow beginning at 4:00 PM.
