Box Score ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's ice hockey team fell to the USA Under-18 team 9-1 on Sunday afternoon in an exhibition game.
The USA Under-18 team scored three goals in the first period for a 3-0 lead after one period. They then scored two goals in the second period for a 5-0 lead.
Liam Board scored Neumann's lone goal at the 15:06 mark of the second period. Board put the puck in the back off of a rebound from
Shayne Morrissey.
The USA Under-18 team netted four more goals in the third period with three coming on the man-advantage.
Tyler LeFebvre made 30 saves in net. Neumann had 31 shots in the game.
Neumann finishes the first half of the season 6-4 overall and 2-4 in conference action. The Knights will participate in the Middlebury Holiday Classic on January 2 and 3. Neumann will face New England College in the first game.
