OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Neumann University baseball team fell to Stevenson University 14-7 on Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.

Three Knights had two hits on the afternoon. Patrick Graham started the game and went the first two innings. He allowed seven runs, only two earned, on five hits and took the loss.

Lorenzo Williams, Adam Holowienka, Kutter Endy, Zach Youngberg, Jerome Cevetello and Kevin Corris all went an inning on the mound.

The Knights scored first as Jarad Carney came around to score after being hit by a pitch in the first inning. Neumann added two more runs on back-to-back doubles in the second inning to take a 3-0 lead.

The Mustangs took advantage of a Knights error in the second inning and plated seven runs.  The teams then traded two runs a piece in the third inning for a 9-5 score. Stevenson took even more control of the game and against capitalized on Neumann errors to score five unearned runs in the fourth inning.

The Knights were not able to get a rally together and went down in order in the eighth and ninth innings.

Neumann (11-6) will face Keystone in a conference series this weekend. The Knights head to the Giants for a single game on Friday and then return home for a doubleheader on Saturday.
