BALTIMORE, Md. – The Neumann University women's tennis team fell in its first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match of the season, 5-3, at Notre Dame of Maryland University on Friday afternoon.
The duo of
Sarah Schroeder and
Talene Brinker tallied the lone point for the Knights in doubles action, taking first doubles 8-6.
Angaline Salvucci and
Lilly Escobar battled at second doubles, but fell 9-7.
Schroeder took the momentum to her match at first doubles and fought to a 6-7, 7-6, 14-12 win. Brinker came away with a 6-4, 6-1 win at second singles.
Francess Bockary split the first two sets at fifth singles, 4-6, 6-2, however she came up just short in the deciding set 10-7.
Neumann (1-1, 0-1 CSAC) will head to Delaware Valley on Thursday for non-conference action beginning at 3:30 PM.
