Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Neumann University volleyball team opened the 2015 season by splitting a pair of games at the Gettysburg Battlefield Classic on Friday.

The Knights battled to a 3-2 win over York College (Pa.) and then fell 3-0 to Geneva College in the night cap.

In the match against the Spartans, Anna Waltz led the Knights with 15 kills. Julia Malseed added 12 kills.

Five Knights had double-digits in digs with Kristine Quinn leading the way with 17. Nikki Collevechio and Malseed each added 15. Kat Wolf notched 14 and Waltz added 12.

Rachael Hoffman started her collegiate career with nine kills and five block solos.

In the second match, Neumann fell 3-0 to Geneva. Malseed had seven kills for the Knights. Malseed and Waltz each notched 13 digs.

Neumann (1-1) will conclude play in the Classic tomorrow against Curry College at 10:00 AM and Penn State Harrisburg at 2:00 PM.
