UTICA, N.Y. – The Neumann University women's hockey team fell to Utica College 5-1 on Friday evening in Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) West action.

The Pioneers netted two goals in the first, both coming in the second half of the period. Utica added two more goals in the second, one coming two minutes into the period and the other with two minutes remaining in the period.

Utica tallied a shorthanded goal at the 4:40 mark of the third period for a 5-0 lead. The Knights spoiled the shutout bid when Jessica Langdon scored her first goal of the season at the 8:07 mark of the third.

Justina Mayr made 44 saves in net.

Neumann (4-13-1, 2-10-1 ECAC West) and Utica (12-5-1, 8-2-1 ECAC West) will face-off again tomorrow afternoon beginning at 2:00 PM.
