ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team picked up a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) win, 83-67, over Marywood University on Saturday afternoon.
Denzel Yard led six Knights in double-digits in the win with 18 points while dishing out seven assists.
Tyaire Hudson and
Darian Barnes each netted 15 points. Hudson handed out six assists. Barnes added three blocked shot.
James Butler and
Tony Parker each scored 11 points and
DeShawn Lowman added 10 points.
The teams opened the game by trading baskets and were tied at eight early on. The Pacers then took an 11-8 lead before the Knights broke the game open. Marywood would sit at 11 points for 10 minutes as Neumann scored 23 points over that span for a 31-11 lead. The Pacers would not stay quiet the entire time and scored the final six points of the half. The Knights held a 39-26 lead at halftime.
The Knights would keep the double-digit lead throughout the second half, building their lead to as many as 23, to come away with the 83-67 win.
Neumann (12-6, 9-3 CSAC) will host Keystone on Monday evening in a rescheduled game from the blizzard weekend. Tip-off is set for 8:00 PM.
