CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team defeated Widener University 3-1 on Saturday morning in non-conference action.
The Knights took set one, after needing a few extra serves, 28-26. Neumann then won set two 25-14. The Pride came back to win set three, 25-13, to force a fourth set. Set four was another close one, but the Knights were able to seal the win, 25-23.
Rachael Hoffman led the Knights with 13 kills and a hitting percentage of .370.
Hayley Glah added 11 kills and 14 digs.
Rachel Cray handed out 35 assists.
Nikki Collevechio added three service aces.
Carlee Herrin notched 20 digs to anchor the defense.
Neumann (13-13) returns home and will host Cairn and Gwynedd Mercy on Tuesday for two conference matches beginning at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
