LA PLUME, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team fell at Keystone College 3-0 on Tuesday evening in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action. Set scores were 25-21, 25-15, 25-15.
Melanie Malseed had nine kills to lead the Knights.
Rachel Cray handed out 22 assists.
Hayley Glah tallied 10 digs.
The first set went back and forth and the teams were tied at 16 when the Giants scored four of the next five points for a 20-17 lead. Keystone would next score three of the next four points for a 23-18 lead. Neumann tried to come back, getting to 24-21, but fell 25-21.
Set number two started out back and forth again and with the teams knotted at nine, the Giants rattled off four straight points for a 13-9 advantage. Keystone would steadily build its lead and scored the final three points to win 25-15.
Neumann (16-14, 8-2 CSAC) will play its final conference match tomorrow with it hosts Cedar Crest. Before the match, the Knights will recognize the 2016 seniors. Action gets underway at 7:00 PM.
