FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Neumann University women's ice hockey team fell to Sacred Heart University 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
The teams played to a scoreless first period before the Pioneers found the back of the net twice in the second. Sacred Heart added a power play goal late in the third period to seal the 3-0 win.
Justina Mayr made 21 saves in net. The Knights outshot the Pioneers 31-24.
Neumann (5-17-1) will return home for the final conference series of the season. The Knights will host Chatham for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday.
