CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team picked up a 94-66 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) win at Summit University on Saturday afternoon.
DeShawn Lowman led the Knights with 19 points.
Darian Barnes and
James Butler each notched a double-double. Barnes netted 11 points with 16 rebounds. Butler tallied 18 points and added 11 rebounds.
Tyaire Hudson also netted 13 points. All twelve Neumann players that made an appearance on the court grabbed at least a rebound or point. The team shot 48.7% from the field for the game.
The Defenders beat Neumann onto the board first with a three-pointer. The Knights answered with a 19-0 run over the next five minutes. Neumann continued to build its lead during the half and took a 57-29 lead into halftime.
Midway through the second half, the Knights took their biggest lead of the game of 43 points, 81-38. The Defenders then went on an 18-5 run of their own for an 86-56 score. The teams traded baskets over the final five minutes, but Neumann used the lead it built in the first half to come away with the 94-66 win.
Neumann (15-6, 11-3 CSAC) will host Centenary College in CSAC action on Wednesday starting at 7:00 PM.
