ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's lacrosse team picked up a 14-4 win over Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Marywood University on Wednesday afternoon.
Rebecca Dolenti scored four goals and added an assist to lead the Knights.
Jordan Hopkins and
Taylor Klever each netted three goals.
Kaitlyn Conrad had a goal and handed out four assists.
Hopkins also notched nine draw controls.
Becca Wallace made four saves in net for the win.
Reilly Pollock made one save in net in relief.
The Knights took control of the game early as Klever scored her first goal 40 seconds into the game. Hopkins scored Neumann's second goal 35 seconds later. The Knights went on to take a 10-0 lead before the Pacers were able to find the back of the net. Klever rounded out the scoring in the first half and the Knights took an 11-1 lead into halftime.
Klever and Hopkins scored to open the second half to put Neumann up 13-1. Marywood then netted two of its own goals. Hopkins rounded out the scoring for the Knights with 7:24 on the clock. The Pacers netted the final goal with 1:24 left in the game for the 14-4 final.
Neumann (4-2, 3-0 CSAC) will head on the road for the next three games, beginning at Rosemont next Tuesday. The CSAC game is slated to get underway at 4:00 PM.
