ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team defeated Marywood University on Saturday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference doubleheader. Game scores were 3-2 and 7-5.
After the games, the Knights recognized their 10 seniors:

Kelvin Ortiz,
Pat O'Leary and
Evan Worth.
In game one,
Zach Cooney started on the mound and pitched 6.0 innings. He allowed one run on three hits and struck out seven.
Zach Youngberg pitched 0.2 innings in the seventh and allowed a run on two hits and struck out one.
Anthony Stricker got the third out in the seventh. Rupprecht pitched a scoreless eighth the pick up his fourth win.
The Pacers took a 1-0 lead in the third. The Knights gained the lead in the fifth on a two-run homerun by
Curt Yenchik. Marywood tied the game in the top of the seventh to force extra innings. Williams stepped up to the plate in the eighth and crushed a homerun to left field to give the Knights the 3-2 walk-off win.
In game two,
Eric Bergman and
Cody MacNair had a pair of hits and RBI.
Grant Wallace started on the mound and pitched 2.2 innings. He allowed five runs on six hits and struck out two. Burks pitched 1.1 scoreless innings to earn his first win of the season.
Patrick Graham pitched 2.2 scoreless innings, and
Jerome Cevetello got the final out in the seventh to earn the save.
Marywood scored a run in the first and second innings to jump out to a 2-0 lead. The Knights got a run back in the second on a single by Worth. The Pacers scored three in the top half of the third to lead 5-1.
The Knights put three runs on the board in their half of the third to come to within one run of the Pacers. Bergman tripled to right to score
Chuck Trentler, who led off the inning with a walk. MacNair doubled to left to score Bergman and Yenchik singled to left to score MacNair.
Williams tied it up 5-5 in the fourth with a single to shortstop to score Thomas. MacNair singled to right for the go-ahead run as Trentler crossed home plate. Bergman singled to right in the sixth to score Trentler for the 7-5 final.
Neumann (19-14, 11-4 CSAC) will host Lancaster Bible College on Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 4:00 PM.
