ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University baseball team wrapped up the regular season falling to No. 12 Keystone College 13-9 on Sunday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
Kyle Weller had three hits for the Knights.
Curt Yenchik knocked in four runs and scored three, including a solo and a two-run homerun.
Neumann used seven pitchers in the game.
Patrick Graham started the game and took the loss. He went three innings and allowed three runs on three hits.
Keystone held a 5-0 lead, and scored at least a run in every inning except the first, before Neumann got on the board.
Cody MacNair hit a solo homerun in the fourth inning to put the Knights on the board.
AJ Koscelansky then singled and Yenchik hit his two-run homerun for a 5-3 game.
Eric Bergman knocked in
Chuck Trentler in the fifth inning for another run.
Joey Pedorenko hit a solo homerun in the sixth inning. Trentler hit a two-run double in the seventh to score Yenchik and Pedorenko. Yenchik then hit his two-run homerun in the eighth inning to round out the Knights runs.
Neumann (19-17, 11-7 CSAC) will be the No. 3 seed in the CSAC postseason. The tournament will begin this coming week.
