RADNOR, Pa. – The Neumann University field hockey team opened Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action at Cabrini University on Saturday afternoon, but fell 6-2.
The Cavaliers scored just 3:30 into the game and did not relinquish the lead. Cabrini took a 2-0 lead in the 17
th minute and took the 2-0 advantage into halftime.
Chelsea Kulesza put the Knights on the board in the 43
rd minute as she knocked in a rebound. The Cavaliers quickly responded with two goals for a 4-1 game.
Madison Brown scored in the 57
th minute for Neumann, but Cabrini answered right away again. The Cavaliers would add another goal in the 65
th minute.
Caitlyn Johnson made 11 saves in net.
Neumann (4-4, 0-1 CSAC) will return home after hour straight away games to host Immaculata on Wednesday afternoon. The CSAC contest is slated to begin at 4:00 PM.
