ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team won a non-conference match versus Elizabethtown College 3-1 on Tuesday night.
Sophomore
Rachael Hoffman led the team in both kills (15) and blocks (8). Senior
Nikki Collevechio registered 16 digs, while freshman
Rachel Cray led the Knights in assists with 42.
Neumann started slow, dropping the first set to the Blue Jays 25-20. The Knights would respond by taking the following three sets to win the match. Every set was close, but none were as tightly contested as the fourth. With the score at 24-20 in favor of Neumann, the Blue Jays recorded three straight points to bring the difference to one point at 24-23. That was as close as they would get though, as Neumann freshman
Hayley Glah registered a kill off of a Cray set to seal the match for the Knights.
Neumann (5-10, (1-1 CSAC)) is next in action tomorrow night (9/28) as it travels to Colonial States Athletic Conference rival Notre Dame of Maryland University. The match is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
