CHESTER, Pa. – The Neumann University women's volleyball team dropped a touch 3-2 match to Widener University on Saturday morning in non-conference action.
 
The Knights won the first set 25-17. The Pride took set two 25-10. Neumann edged out set three 25-23. Widener forced set five with a 25-18 win in set four. In the fifth, the Pride was able to outlast the Knights 18-16.
 
Melanie Malseed led Neumann with 20 kills and a .475 hitting percentage in the five matches. 
Shayne Sullivan added 11 kills and three solo blocks. 
Rachael Hoffmann notched 11 kills and a .455 hitting percentage. 
Rachel Cray handed out 49 assists. Malseed tallied 18 kills and 
Bianca Harbold added 17.
 
Neumann (11-20) will face Notre Dame (Md.) in conference action at 3:00 PM this afternoon.
