ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University men's basketball team hit the century mark in a 102-74 win over Delaware Valley University on Wednesday evening in non-conference action.
 
Tyaire Hudson led all scorers with 25 points while handing out eight assists and grabbing five steals. Raquan Brown-Johnson tallied a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Billy Cassidy went 6-for-8 from downtown and 4-for-5 from the line to finish with 22 points.
 
The Knights started the game by scoring the first six points. The Aggies hit their first of 11 three-pointers so the Knights would not run away at the beginning. The teams remained within a few points of each other for 18 of the first 20 minutes. During that time there were eight tied scores and six lead changes. With the score knotted at 39, and 1:43 left before halftime, Neumann hit back-to-back-to-back three-pointers to take a 48-39 lead into the break. Jordan Collins, Cassidy and Brown-Johnson connected on three's as the Knights went on to finish the game with 10 three-point shots.
 
The Knights continued the momentum into the second half as they scored the first nine points, capped by another one of Cassidy's three's. Neumann steadily built up its lead throughout the half. Two free-throws by Justin Fleming with 1:01 left in regulation put the Knights at 100 points. A layup by Brian Tisby rounded out the scoring for Neumann.
 
Neumann (6-2) will wrap up play for 2017 at Valley Forge on Friday evening beginning at 7:00 PM.
